Tascam BD-MP1 MKII Professional Rack-Mount Blu-Ray & Multimedia Player
The Tascam BD-MP1 MKII is a Professional 1U Rack-Mount Blu-Ray and Multimedia Player with HDMI output, balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA stereo outputs, 7.1 surround sound outputs, Ethernet/RS-232C control and support for Blu-ray, DVD, CD, USB and SD card media.
The Tascam BD-MP1 MKII is a robust, single-rackspace multi-media video player built for the demands of professional permanent installation and live touring. Building on the success of the Tascam BD-01U and BD-MP1, the BD-MP1 MKII combines high-definition Blu-ray, DVD, CD and solid-state media playback with comprehensive professional audio outputs, network and serial control capability and a wide range of practical installation features — making it an ideal component of integrated AV and media systems across commercial AV, education, houses of worship, boardrooms, conference rooms and touring applications. Its single rackspace 1U form factor, dimmable front-panel display and lockable controls make it equally practical for permanent rack installations and front-of-house touring rigs.
Comprehensive Media & Format Support
The BD-MP1 MKII plays the widest possible range of physical and solid-state media — including BD25, BD50, BD-ROM, BD-R and BD-RE Blu-ray discs (including Blu-ray 3D), DVD-Video, DVD-VR, AVCHD, CD-DA, CD-R and CD-RW, as well as video, audio and picture files from USB flash drives and SD/SDHC/SDXC cards up to 512GB. Supported video file formats include ASF, MPG, AVI, MKV, MOV, MP4, TS, M2TS and more, with audio file support for WAV, MP3, WMA, AAC, FLAC and APE, and picture support for JPEG, GIF and PNG. NTSC/PAL conversion and BD-Live functionality are supported, and subtitle file formats (.sub, .ass, idx+sub) are also accommodated for international content playback.
Professional Audio Outputs
The BD-MP1 MKII is comprehensively specified for professional audio output. Balanced XLR stereo outputs deliver a nominal level of +4dBu for long cable runs in fixed installations, alongside unbalanced RCA stereo outputs at -10dBV for standard consumer and semi-professional connectivity. A full 7.1 surround sound output section provides eight RCA outputs (FL/FR/SL/SR/SBL/SBR/Centre/Subwoofer) for complete surround sound system integration, and a coaxial S/PDIF digital audio output handles Dolby and DTS encoded audio for connection to compatible AV processors and receivers. Up to 40dB of attenuation is available on both analogue and digital stereo outputs for flexible level matching within any system.
HDMI High-Definition Video Output
The HDMI output supports resolutions from 480i/576i through to full 1080p, with 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratio options and RGB, YCbCr 4:4:4 and YCbCr 4:2:2 signal formats. HDMI CEC support allows the connected display to be automatically switched on and off in the correct order — a valuable feature for automated installations where the display and player need to power up and down together without manual intervention.
Ideal for Education, Houses of Worship & Corporate AV
The BD-MP1 MKII is a popular choice across a wide range of professional installation markets. In educational environments — from schools and colleges through to universities and training facilities — it provides a reliable, controllable and versatile media player for lecture theatres, video suites and presentation rooms. In houses of worship it delivers dependable video and audio playback for services, events and productions. In corporate boardrooms and conference rooms the network and serial control capability enables seamless integration into room control systems, whilst the power-on play and resume functions ensure presentations start automatically and reliably every time.
Network, RS-232C & Remote Control
The BD-MP1 MKII supports control via Ethernet network (Telnet protocol via RJ45), RS-232C serial (D-sub 9-pin) and the included wireless remote control — providing comprehensive integration options for virtually any control system or automation platform. The front-panel lock function can disable panel controls, the disc tray or the IR remote independently, preventing accidental operation in public-facing installations. Additional practical features include power-on play, resume after power cycle, chapter/title/A-B repeat, instant 10-second replay and switchable on-screen information display.

60 Day Returns Policy
We ask that you follow these guidelines to help us process your return as quickly and efficiently as possible:
- Please keep your order reference to hand. This confirms your original order and gives us the necessary details to authorise the product's return.
- Contact our Customer Services Team on 02476 369890 (or email info@audiovolt.co.uk). We will then send you an RMA number and a returns form, which needs to be completed and sent back with the returned item(s).
- If the order has been unpacked, re-package it to ensure that it is being returned in its original condition. Please make sure all items relating to the product are returned, including manuals and cables.
- When returning an item, please obtain a proof of postage receipt from the courier.
Returned items must be mailed within 10 days of when the RMA number has been issued. Items received with a post date 30 days after your requested return will NOT be eligible for refund.
Please note: our returns policy is quite straightforward, but there are a number of conditions that we ask our customers to comply with before applying:
- It is your responsibility to request a return. If you don't tell us you want to make a return, we don't know. Once you do tell us, we will do everything we can to action it.
- If you have not requested a return within 60 days of receiving an order, we will assume that you are intending to keep it, and we will not authorise a return.
- We always refund the payment according to how the original purchase was made and aim to do so within 72 hours of the return being received by us.
- Returned goods are liable for a restocking fee of 15% towards handling and repackaging if the order is not returned in its original, unopened packaging. This charge will be subject to our inspection of the returned goods.
- Delivery charges will not be refunded unless the delivered goods are faulty.
- Replacement products are dispatched immediately after the returned goods have been received and accepted by Audio Volt.
- Items that develop a fault within 30 days of delivery are eligible for a replacement or a refund. Delivery costs are also reimbursed for faulty items. Please contact our Customer Services Team on 02476 369890 if you believe your item has developed a fault.
Finally, please remember that notifying us of your intention to apply for a return, saving the delivery paperwork and keeping the order in its original packaging will help both you and Audio Volt to process the return quickly.
