Martin Audio CDD12-WR is a compact high-output wall speaker ideal for sheltered outdoor and low-impedance installations.
The Martin Audio CDD12-WR is a compact two-way passive loudspeaker designed for outdoor applications where environmental conditions may vary, but direct exposure to the elements is avoided. Its 8 ohm low-impedance design makes it compatible with conventional amplifiers while delivering high output for medium-throw coverage.
Equipped with a 12” (300mm) LF and 1” (25mm) exit HF Coaxial Differential Dispersion driver, the CDD12-WR ensures consistent audio coverage across the audience. The LF driver features a 2.5” (63.5mm) voice coil with a ferrite motor and aluminium demodulating ring to minimise distortion, while the HF driver has a 1.75” (44mm) polyimide diaphragm with a low-compression phase plug to reduce non-linearity.
Coaxial Differential Dispersion technology provides uniform front-to-back coverage, projecting more output to the rear of the listening area while maintaining wide horizontal dispersion close up. This point-source design reduces off-axis frequency variations, making the speaker ideal for medium-throw foreground music and speech applications in outdoor restaurants, bars, hotel terraces, transport hubs, concourses, and theme parks.
The visually distinctive composite enclosure can be mounted horizontally or vertically, with the driver rotation easily adjusted by removing the screw-free protective grille. The curved cabinet allows surface mounting close to walls using optional brackets, or suspension from ceilings via integrated eyebolt points or a horizontal yoke. All fixings are stainless steel, and the enclosure is weather-tested to IP54 and suitable for operating temperatures from -20°C to +70°C. Standard finishes are black (RAL9005) or white (RAL9016), with custom RAL colours available for seamless architectural integration.
