The JBL Control 16C/T is a professional 2-way full-range ceiling loudspeaker designed to deliver consistent, high-quality sound for listeners both on and off axis across a wide variety of medium to high-volume commercial audio applications. Suitable for music cafes, business music systems, retail stores, music and paging systems, airports, reception and waiting rooms, lounges, courtrooms, convention centres, hotels, educational facilities and many more environments, the Control 16C/T combines JBL's proven driver technology with practical installation features and flexible 70V/100V line and 8 Ohm operation in a paintable, UV resistant baffle available in both white and black finishes. Supplied as a pair, it is an ideal choice for professional AV installers and system designers specifying reliable, high-performance ceiling audio solutions for commercial projects of all sizes.

High-Performance 2-Way Driver Configuration

The Control 16C/T features a 165mm (6.5") high-output low-frequency driver specifically engineered for long-term reliability and consistent performance under high-power working conditions. A lightweight, high-temperature anodised aluminium voice coil former and high-temperature-grade voice coil provide stable, reliable performance over sustained use, whilst the polypropylene cone and butyl rubber surround deliver water and humidity resistance alongside excellent sonic damping for long-term durability. FEA-optimised motor construction and cone geometry, combined with a linear suspension spider design, produce a smooth frequency response and consistent off-axis performance across the 110° conical coverage pattern — ensuring even, accurate sound distribution across the listening area regardless of listener position.

The 19mm (¾") high-frequency driver features a highly damped and treated silk dome for clear, warm and natural high-frequency reproduction, a lightweight Kapton voice coil for better HF response and excellent reliability, low-viscosity liquid cooling for sustained power handling and a wide dispersion waveguide to produce wide coverage and a smooth frequency response. A 2nd order crossover network provides clean driver integration across the full 62Hz to 20kHz frequency range, and a high sensitivity of 91dB ensures efficient, high-output performance from standard distributed audio system power levels.

100V Line & Low Impedance Flexibility

The Control 16C/T is switchable for both 8 Ohm low-impedance direct operation — providing 50W continuous pink noise / 100W continuous program power handling — and 70V/100V distributed audio system operation via a 30W multi-tap transformer. Transformer tappings are available at 30W, 15W and 7.5W at both 70V and 100V, with an additional 3.8W tapping at 70V only, providing comprehensive flexibility for integration into large-scale distributed audio systems at the appropriate power level. A removable locking 4-pin connector with screw-down terminals accommodates wire up to 12 AWG (2.5mm²), with loop-through terminals for easy daisy-chaining and a dual strain relief assembly for use with cable or flex conduit.

Quick & Easy Installation

The Control 16C/T is designed for fast, straightforward installation with a pre-attached blind-mount backcan that eliminates the need for separate back enclosure installation. The paintable UV resistant baffle — made from UL94-V0 and UL94-5HB rated material — allows the speaker to be painted to match any ceiling finish for a discreet, aesthetically clean installation result. A cardboard cutout template simplifies ceiling cutting, and the included tile support rails accommodate standard 2ft / 600mm tile spans, with the optional MTC-48TR tile rail available for larger 4ft / 1200mm spans. A safety seismic attachment ring on the top surface provides a secure attachment point for seismic restraint requirements, and the speaker is certified to UL1480, UL2043, NFPA90 and NFPA70 for use in air handling spaces.

All orders below £99.00 will be sent at a rate of £3.99 per order (2-3 days, UK Mainland).

Do you require your item before 12 pm? We offer a Premium Delivery, Next Day Tracked, Pre 12 service at a cost of £14.99.

Cut-off Times

Orders must be placed before 3:30 pm to guarantee
same-day dispatch. Any orders placed after this time are not guaranteed
to be shipped the same day, and are more likely to be shipped the next
working day.

To guarantee Saturday Delivery, orders must ideally be placed before 2 pm.

We operate during office hours, Mon-Fri, 9 am - 5 pm,
and are closed during the weekend. Orders placed over the weekend or
Friday after cut-off will be processed and shipped the following Monday.

Due to our location relative to the Scottish Highlands & Islands,
we cannot offer a next-day service. Items being sent to the following
postcodes will carry a minimum of 2 days' lead time.

Delivery Notes

On delivery, you must inspect the goods carefully for damage as Audio
Volt is unable to accept responsibility for damage in transit, shortage
of delivery or loss of products unless the customer advises Audio Volt
of such within three working days from the date of delivery.

EU Import Tax

Any goods shipped outside of the UK, over a certain value, will incur an import tax. The cost and rate will depend on the country and the order value.

This is a legal requirement and MUST be paid prior to delivery in order to receive your goods. You will be contacted by the courier once the order is dispatched to pay the fee.

Failure to pay import tax when applicable will result in the order
being shipped back to Audio Volt. Any returned goods sent back to us due
to non-payment of import tax are NOT ELIGIBLE for a refund on the
shipping charge.

60 Day Returns Policy

We ask that you follow these guidelines to help us process your return as quickly and efficiently as possible:

1. Please
keep your order reference to hand. This confirms your original order
and gives us the necessary details to authorise the product’s return.

2. Contact our Customer Services Team on 02476 369890 (or e-mail info@audiovolt.co.uk). We will then send you an RMA number and a returns form, which needs to be completed and sent back with the returned item(s).

3. (If
the order has been unpacked) re-package it to ensure that it is being
returned in its original condition. Please make sure all items relating
to the product are returned, including manuals and cables.

4. When returning an item, please obtain a ‘proof of postage’ receipt from the Courier.

Returned
items must be mailed within 10 days of when the RMA Number has been
issued. Items received with a post date 30 days after your requested
return will NOT be eligible for refund.

Please note:
Our returns policy is quite straightforward, but there are a number of
conditions that we ask our customers to comply with before applying:

1. It
is your responsibility to request a return. If you don’t tell us you
want to make a return, we don’t know. Once you do tell us, we will do
everything we can to action it.

2. If you have
not requested a return within 60 days of receiving an order, we will
assume that you are intending to keep it, and we will not authorise a
return.

3. We always refund the payment
according to how the original purchase was made and aim to do so within
72 hours of the return being received by us.

4. Returned
goods are liable for a restocking fee of 15% towards handling and
repackaging if the order is not returned in its original, unopened
packaging. This charge will be subject to our inspection of the returned
goods.

5. Delivery charges will not be refunded unless the delivered goods are faulty.

6. Replacement products are dispatched immediately after the returned goods have been received and accepted by Audio Volt.

7. Items
that develop a fault within 30 days of delivery are eligible for a
replacement or a refund. Delivery costs are also reimbursed for faulty

believe your item has developed a fault.

Finally, please remember
that notifying us of your intention to apply for a return, saving the
delivery paperwork and keeping the order in its original packaging will
help both you and Audio Volt to process the return quickly.
