Audio Technica ATW-1422 System 20 PRO Dual Handheld Wireless Microphone System 2.4GHz
The Audio Technica ATW-1422 is a System 20 PRO Dual Handheld 2.4GHz Digital Wireless Microphone System comprising the ATW-R1440 4-channel half-rack receiver chassis and two ATW-T1402 handheld transmitters — delivering 24-bit/48kHz audio, AES128 encryption and scalability to 20 simultaneous channels for live sound, presentation and commercial audio applications.
The Audio Technica ATW-1422 is a complete dual handheld wireless microphone system from the System 20 PRO range — offering a self-managing, plug-and-play 2.4GHz digital wireless solution that overcomes many of the challenges of conventional UHF wireless systems, including frequency coordination, complex intermodulation calculations and remote antenna cabling.
Operating in the 2.4GHz band, the system is completely free from TV interference and operates without the need for frequency licensing, making it an ideal choice for permanent installations, live events, houses of worship, theatres, conference rooms and any application where reliable, high-quality wireless audio is required without the complexity of traditional UHF system management. With 24-bit/48kHz audio quality, AES128 encryption and up to 20 simultaneous channels, the ATW-1422 delivers truly professional wireless performance at an accessible price point.
ATW-R1440 4-Channel Half-Rack Receiver Chassis
The ATW-R1440 is a half-rack receiver chassis capable of receiving up to four transmitters simultaneously, with each receiver channel pairable with up to four different transmitters for instant switching between different transmitter configurations without re-pairing. The half-rack chassis is supplied with both short and long rack ears — and two long ears can be combined as a joining plate to secure two chassis in a single full rack space, keeping installation neat and efficient. Receiver units can be docked in the chassis or mounted remotely at up to 100m away via Ethernet cable, providing added installation flexibility where the chassis cannot be positioned in the ideal RF reception location. Up to five chassis can be linked using the included RJ12 cable, creating a stable multichannel system supporting up to 20 simultaneous channels. The chassis System ID Display shows RF signal level, system ID, transmitter battery level and system link status at a glance.
Standard & HD Operating Modes
The system offers two selectable operating modes to suit different application requirements — Standard mode (10 channels) minimises latency to just 2.8ms for live performance applications where timing is critical, whilst HD mode (20 channels) maximises channel count to 20 simultaneous systems for large-scale installations and events where multiple wireless microphones are needed. Both modes operate at 24-bit/48kHz audio sampling for professional sound quality throughout.
ATW-T1402 Handheld Transmitter
The two included ATW-T1402 handheld transmitters feature a dynamic hypercardioid microphone capsule for focused, feedback-resistant vocal pickup, true diversity dual antennas for reliable RF signal reception, an OLED display for clear readout of key settings and alerts, and a slide-to-mute switch for convenient on/off control. Both transmitters are paired and ready to use out of the box. Each transmitter accepts two AA batteries delivering up to 18 hours of operation on alkaline batteries (up to 35 hours on lithium), and includes charging terminals compatible with Audio-Technica ATW-CHG3 and ATW-CHG3N charging docks when used with NiMH rechargeable batteries for all-day operation.
Wireless Manager Software & AES128 Encryption
Seamless setup and centralised management of the system — including multiple UHF, 2.4GHz and DECT wireless systems simultaneously — is provided by Audio-Technica's Wireless Manager software. Transmitter status, audio level, remaining battery time and other system information can be monitored from a single screen, with the ability to configure, monitor and save device settings as projects for rapid deployment and recall. AES128 encryption comes standard on all transmissions for security and reliable operation, and Syslog protocol compatibility provides integration with wider network management systems.

Cut-off Times
Orders must be placed before 3:30pm to guarantee same-day dispatch. Any orders placed after this time are not guaranteed to be shipped the same day, and are more likely to be shipped the next working day.
To guarantee Saturday Delivery, orders must ideally be placed before 2pm.
We operate during office hours, Mon-Fri, 9am - 5pm, and are closed during the weekend.
Orders placed over the weekend or Friday after cut-off will be processed and shipped the following Monday (or Tuesday during bank holidays).
Mainland UK Delivery Charges
Note: Next-day services are classed as working days (Mon-Fri) and do not include weekends. Please choose Saturday delivery if you require the item over the weekend.
Please also note orders with a high number of boxes may be subject to an additional charge.

EU Import Tax
Any goods shipped outside of the UK, over a certain value, will incur an import tax. The cost and rate will depend on the country and the order value.
This is a legal requirement and MUST be paid prior to delivery in order to receive your goods. You will be contacted by the courier once the order is dispatched to pay the fee.
Failure to pay import tax when applicable will result in the order being shipped back to Audio Volt. Any returned goods sent back to us due to non-payment of import tax are NOT ELIGIBLE for a refund on the shipping charge.

Delivery Notes
On delivery, you must inspect the goods carefully for damage as Audio Volt is unable to accept responsibility for damage in transit, shortage of delivery or loss of products unless the customer advises Audio Volt of such within three working days from the date of delivery.
60 Day Returns Policy
We ask that you follow these guidelines to help us process your return as quickly and efficiently as possible:
- Please keep your order reference to hand. This confirms your original order and gives us the necessary details to authorise the product's return.
- Contact our Customer Services Team on 02476 369890 (or email info@audiovolt.co.uk). We will then send you an RMA number and a returns form, which needs to be completed and sent back with the returned item(s).
- If the order has been unpacked, re-package it to ensure that it is being returned in its original condition. Please make sure all items relating to the product are returned, including manuals and cables.
- When returning an item, please obtain a proof of postage receipt from the courier.
Returned items must be mailed within 10 days of when the RMA number has been issued. Items received with a post date 30 days after your requested return will NOT be eligible for refund.
Please note: our returns policy is quite straightforward, but there are a number of conditions that we ask our customers to comply with before applying:
- It is your responsibility to request a return. If you don't tell us you want to make a return, we don't know. Once you do tell us, we will do everything we can to action it.
- If you have not requested a return within 60 days of receiving an order, we will assume that you are intending to keep it, and we will not authorise a return.
- We always refund the payment according to how the original purchase was made and aim to do so within 72 hours of the return being received by us.
- Returned goods are liable for a restocking fee of 15% towards handling and repackaging if the order is not returned in its original, unopened packaging. This charge will be subject to our inspection of the returned goods.
- Delivery charges will not be refunded unless the delivered goods are faulty.
- Replacement products are dispatched immediately after the returned goods have been received and accepted by Audio Volt.
- Items that develop a fault within 30 days of delivery are eligible for a replacement or a refund. Delivery costs are also reimbursed for faulty items. Please contact our Customer Services Team on 02476 369890 if you believe your item has developed a fault.
Finally, please remember that notifying us of your intention to apply for a return, saving the delivery paperwork and keeping the order in its original packaging will help both you and Audio Volt to process the return quickly.
