The Martin Audio CDD12 is a compact, high-output wall speaker engineered for medium-throw commercial and live music applications.
The Martin Audio CDD12 is a compact, passive two-way loudspeaker system designed to provide high-output performance from a discreet enclosure. It is ideal for foreground music in venues such as live music clubs, nightclubs, bars, restaurants, museums, convention centres, hotels, retail outlets, leisure centres and houses of worship.
The CDD12 incorporates Martin Audio’s patented Coaxial Differential Dispersion™ (CDD) technology, which delivers more even coverage across an audience than conventional fixed-dispersion systems. This design projects relatively more output towards the rear of the listening area while maintaining wide horizontal coverage near the speaker, providing smooth and consistent sound across the space.
The speaker features a 12” (300mm) low-frequency driver and a 1” exit high-frequency compression driver in a coaxial configuration. The LF driver uses a 2.5” (65mm) voice coil and efficient motor with an aluminium demodulating ring to reduce distortion. The HF driver features a 1.75” (44mm) polyimide diaphragm and low-compression phase plug to reduce non-linearity. The integrated static waveguide further improves high-frequency dispersion, maintaining coverage at higher frequencies and reducing beaming.
Housed in a visually distinctive birch plywood enclosure, the CDD12 can be mounted horizontally or vertically, with rotation of the coaxial driver easily achieved by removing the screw-free protective grille. It can be wall-mounted using an optional bracket or suspended from a ceiling via integrated eyebolt points or a horizontal yoke bracket, offering flexible installation options.
With a nominal impedance of 8 ohms and 300W AES power handling, the CDD12 is capable of delivering high sound pressure levels suitable for foreground music and medium-throw applications. Finished in black (RAL9005) or white (RAL9016) as standard, it can also be supplied in any RAL colour to order.
