The JBL Control 12C/T is a 3" Full-Range Ceiling Speaker delivering wide 130° conical coverage across 100V line and 8 Ohm operation.

The JBL Control 12C/T has been designed to provide excellent sound quality across a wide variety of low to medium volume applications — including music cafes, retail stores, business music systems, airports, reception and waiting rooms, lounges, courtrooms, convention centres, hotels, educational facilities and more. Its exceptionally wide 130° conical coverage ensures consistent, even sound quality for listeners both on and off axis, making it an ideal choice wherever broad, uniform audio distribution is required from a single ceiling speaker.

High-Technology Driver Design

At the heart of the Control 12C/T is a 76mm (3") full-range driver engineered with JBL's characteristic attention to detail. A lightweight, high-temperature Kapton™ voice coil former and aluminium coupling ring work together to reduce distortion and extend high-frequency response, whilst FEA-optimised motor construction and cone geometry deliver a smooth frequency response and improved off-axis performance. A high-temperature grade voice coil ensures stable performance under long-term and high-power operating conditions, whilst the butyl rubber surround provides long-term durability and excellent sonic damping. The polypropylene cone is water and humidity resistant for reliable performance in a wide range of installation environments.

Dual Operating Modes for Maximum Flexibility

The Control 12C/T is switchable between 8 Ohm low-impedance direct operation and 70V or 100V distributed audio systems, accommodating a 15W multi-tap transformer with taps at 15W, 7.5W and 3.8W at both 70V and 100V — plus an additional 1.9W tap at 70V. This dual-mode flexibility makes it straightforward to integrate the Control 12C/T into virtually any new or existing audio system, from simple direct-drive setups to large-scale distributed PA installations.

Quick & Easy Installation

The Control 12C/T has been designed with fast, hassle-free installation firmly in mind. A pre-attached blind-mount backcan eliminates the need for separate backcan assembly, whilst the compact depth of just 138mm allows the speaker to fit into more shallow ceiling voids than many comparable alternatives. A removable locking 4-pin connector with screw-down terminals accommodates wire up to 12 AWG and provides loop-through connectivity, whilst dual strain relief assemblies provide secure clamping for use with either cable or flex conduit. Two tile rail supports, a C-ring support backing plate and a cutout template are all included in the box to further simplify the installation process. A safety seismic attachment ring on the top surface provides an additional security fixing point where required.

Safety Compliant & Plenum Rated

The Control 12C/T carries an impressive range of safety approvals and compliance certifications, including UL1480, UL2043, NFPA90, NFPA70 and CE. The ABS baffle meets UL94-V0 and UL94-5VB flammability ratings, and the integrated backcan is suitable for use in air handling (plenum) spaces — making it compliant for installation in the widest possible range of commercial ceiling environments. The baffle is also paintable and UV resistant for a discreet, long-lasting finish. Available in White or Black. Sold as a pair.

Delivery Notes

On delivery, you must inspect the goods carefully for damage as Audio Volt is unable to accept responsibility for damage in transit, shortage of delivery or loss of products unless the customer advises Audio Volt of such within three working days from the date of delivery.

EU Import Tax

Any goods shipped outside of the UK, over a certain value, will incur an import tax. The cost and rate will depend on the country and the order value.

This is a legal requirement and MUST be paid prior to delivery in order to receive your goods. You will be contacted by the courier once the order is dispatched to pay the fee.

Failure to pay import tax when applicable will result in the order being shipped back to Audio Volt. Any returned goods sent back to us due to non-payment of import tax are NOT ELIGIBLE for a refund on the shipping charge.

60 Day Returns Policy

We ask that you follow these guidelines to help us process your return as quickly and efficiently as possible:

1. Please keep your order reference to hand. This confirms your original order and gives us the necessary details to authorise the product’s return.

2. Contact our Customer Services Team on 02476 369890 (or e-mail info@audiovolt.co.uk). We will then send you an RMA number and a returns form, which needs to be completed and sent back with the returned item(s).

3. (If the order has been unpacked) re-package it to ensure that it is being returned in its original condition. Please make sure all items relating to the product are returned, including manuals and cables.

4. When returning an item, please obtain a ‘proof of postage’ receipt from the Courier.

Returned items must be mailed within 10 days of when the RMA Number has been issued. Items received with a post date 30 days after your requested return will NOT be eligible for refund.

Please note: Our returns policy is quite straightforward, but there are a number of conditions that we ask our customers to comply with before applying:

1. It is your responsibility to request a return. If you don’t tell us you want to make a return, we don’t know. Once you do tell us, we will do everything we can to action it.

2. If you have not requested a return within 60 days of receiving an order, we will assume that you are intending to keep it, and we will not authorise a return.

3. We always refund the payment according to how the original purchase was made and aim to do so within 72 hours of the return being received by us.

4. Returned goods are liable for a restocking fee of 15% towards handling and repackaging if the order is not returned in its original, unopened packaging. This charge will be subject to our inspection of the returned goods.

5. Delivery charges will not be refunded unless the delivered goods are faulty.

6. Replacement products are dispatched immediately after the returned goods have been received and accepted by Audio Volt.

7. Items that develop a fault within 30 days of delivery are eligible for a replacement or a refund. Delivery costs are also reimbursed for faulty items. Please contact our Customer Services Team on 02476 369890 if you believe your item has developed a fault.

Finally, please remember that notifying us of your intention to apply for a return, saving the delivery paperwork and keeping the order in its original packaging will help both you and Audio Volt to process the return quickly.
