The Fonestar LIGNUM-8SUB is a compact 8" 250W High-Power Passive Subwoofer delivering 124dB peak SPL and omnidirectional low-frequency coverage — purpose-built to complement LIGNUM full-range speakers in professional fixed installations requiring powerful, controlled bass reinforcement.

The Fonestar LIGNUM-8SUB has been designed to seamlessly extend the low-frequency performance of LIGNUM full-range wall speakers in professional fixed installations across bars, restaurants, gyms, retail environments and other commercial venues.

Where full-range speakers reach the limits of their low-frequency capability, the LIGNUM-8SUB takes over — delivering deep, controlled and impactful bass reinforcement from a compact 330 x 410 x 308mm cabinet that is practical to install in a wide range of environments. With 250W RMS, a peak SPL of 124dB and a frequency response extending down to 46.7Hz at -10dB, the LIGNUM-8SUB adds the low-frequency depth, energy and physical presence that transforms a good-sounding installation into a genuinely immersive one.

High-Performance Transducer

At the heart of the LIGNUM-8SUB is an 8" woofer featuring a pressed paper fibre cone, ferrite magnet and 38mm copper wire voice coil — engineered for consistent, reliable performance in demanding AV and fixed installation applications. With a sensitivity of 94dB at 1W/1m, the LIGNUM-8SUB achieves considerable output levels without excessive amplifier power, whilst its low total harmonic distortion ensures remarkable sound fidelity and a clean, controlled bass response even at high output levels. The built-in bass reflex design optimises low-frequency performance from the compact enclosure, maximising efficiency and extending the bass response for a fuller, more impactful sound.

Both input and output connections are provided via a 2-pin safety Euroblock and a 4-pole speaker connector (1+, 1-, 2+, 2-) on each side, enabling straightforward integration with amplifiers, full-range speakers and other system components, as well as easy loop-through connection for multi-speaker setups.

Durable Construction & Versatile Mounting

The LIGNUM-8SUB's enclosure is constructed from birch plywood with a sprayed polyurea coating for excellent durability and long-term reliability in demanding commercial environments. A reinforced steel grille with acoustic foam and powder-coated finish protects the driver whilst maintaining a clean, professional black finish. Five M8 mounting points provide flexible options for flying, wall mounting and safety anchoring, whilst VESA 100x100 compatibility (4 x M6) enables structured mounting solutions in permanent installation environments. The LIGNUM-8SUB operates reliably across a temperature range of -20°C to +60°C.

Delivery Notes

On delivery, you must inspect the goods carefully for damage as Audio Volt is unable to accept responsibility for damage in transit, shortage of delivery or loss of products unless the customer advises Audio Volt of such within three working days from the date of delivery.

EU Import Tax

Any goods shipped outside of the UK, over a certain value, will incur an import tax. The cost and rate will depend on the country and the order value.

This is a legal requirement and MUST be paid prior to delivery in order to receive your goods. You will be contacted by the courier once the order is dispatched to pay the fee.

Failure to pay import tax when applicable will result in the order being shipped back to Audio Volt. Any returned goods sent back to us due to non-payment of import tax are NOT ELIGIBLE for a refund on the shipping charge.

60 Day Returns Policy

We ask that you follow these guidelines to help us process your return as quickly and efficiently as possible:

1. Please keep your order reference to hand. This confirms your original order and gives us the necessary details to authorise the product’s return.

2. Contact our Customer Services Team on 02476 369890 (or e-mail info@audiovolt.co.uk). We will then send you an RMA number and a returns form, which needs to be completed and sent back with the returned item(s).

3. (If the order has been unpacked) re-package it to ensure that it is being returned in its original condition. Please make sure all items relating to the product are returned, including manuals and cables.

4. When returning an item, please obtain a ‘proof of postage’ receipt from the Courier.

Returned items must be mailed within 10 days of when the RMA Number has been issued. Items received with a post date 30 days after your requested return will NOT be eligible for refund.

Please note: Our returns policy is quite straightforward, but there are a number of conditions that we ask our customers to comply with before applying:

1. It is your responsibility to request a return. If you don’t tell us you want to make a return, we don’t know. Once you do tell us, we will do everything we can to action it.

2. If you have not requested a return within 60 days of receiving an order, we will assume that you are intending to keep it, and we will not authorise a return.

3. We always refund the payment according to how the original purchase was made and aim to do so within 72 hours of the return being received by us.

4. Returned goods are liable for a restocking fee of 15% towards handling and repackaging if the order is not returned in its original, unopened packaging. This charge will be subject to our inspection of the returned goods.

5. Delivery charges will not be refunded unless the delivered goods are faulty.

6. Replacement products are dispatched immediately after the returned goods have been received and accepted by Audio Volt.

7. Items that develop a fault within 30 days of delivery are eligible for a replacement or a refund. Delivery costs are also reimbursed for faulty items. Please contact our Customer Services Team on 02476 369890 if you believe your item has developed a fault.

Finally, please remember that notifying us of your intention to apply for a return, saving the delivery paperwork and keeping the order in its original packaging will help both you and Audio Volt to process the return quickly.
