The Yamaha DXS18 MK3 is the flagship 18" 1250W Band-Pass Active Subwoofer in the DXS MK3 series, delivering 134dB peak SPL and 2500W Class-D amplification, featuring D-XSUB processing with extended low-frequency response down to 32Hz, Bluetooth 5.0 and wireless remote control.

The Yamaha DXS18 MK3 is the largest and most powerful model in Yamaha's latest generation of DXS series powered subwoofers, delivering the deepest low-frequency extension, the highest peak SPL and the most authoritative bass performance in the entire DXS MK3 range.

Built around a proprietary 18" high-durability transducer with a 4" voice coil — the largest driver in the DXS MK3 series — a newly developed 2500W Class-D amplifier and an ideal bandpass cabinet structure that eliminates unwanted cabinet noise, the DXS18 MK3 provides the ultimate low-frequency foundation for the most demanding professional live music, DJ events, festival performances and large-scale events where maximum bass output, depth and impact are non-negotiable. When paired with the DXR MK3 series loudspeakers, the DXS18 MK3 enables users to build a seamlessly integrated and perfectly matched sound system with truly unparalleled impact.

Maximum Performance Bandpass Design

The DXS18 MK3's acoustically optimised bandpass cabinet design delivers the deepest and most powerful bass performance in the DXS MK3 range. The 18" driver with 4" voice coil — a larger voice coil than the 3" units found in the DXS12 MK3 and DXS15 MK3 — provides greater thermal capacity, higher excursion capability and the ability to sustain very high output levels over extended periods without degradation. Housed in a durable, acoustically optimised plywood cabinet with scratch-resistant Polyurea coating, the bandpass enclosure maximises bass output efficiency and eliminates unwanted cabinet noise and resonances for tight, clean and impactful low-frequency reproduction at the highest output levels. The result is a peak SPL of 134dB — the highest in the DXS MK3 range — with low-frequency extension reaching down to 32Hz in XTENDED LF mode for the most demanding bass-heavy applications.

D-XSUB Processing & Advanced DSP

The DXS18 MK3 is equipped with onboard 32-bit/96kHz DSP including Yamaha's proprietary D-XSUB processing, which extends the low-frequency response down to an exceptional 32Hz in XTENDED LF mode — the deepest extension in the DXS MK3 series — for applications demanding the most profound and impactful bass reproduction available. Extremely flexible crossover settings are available via the DSP, with a selectable HPF between 50Hz and 118Hz at 12–48dB/octave for precise integration with full-range loudspeakers across different system configurations. A cardioid mode provides effective bass management for on-stage applications, reducing low-frequency energy behind the subwoofer for cleaner stage sound and more controlled and focused front-of-house bass projection.

Flexible Control & Connectivity

Two combo input connectors accept balanced and unbalanced sources at up to +24dBu, whilst two XLR outputs provide thru and DSP out options for seamless integration with full-range loudspeakers in a complete system. Bluetooth 5.0 (A2DP, SBC/AAC, Class 1) enables wireless audio streaming from smartphones and compatible devices. The D-Remote app for iOS and Android provides full wireless remote control of all DSP parameters, monitoring and system management for up to ten devices simultaneously with grouping for unified level and mute control. Five-speed fan cooling ensures optimal amplifier temperature throughout extended high-power use.

Practical Design & Deployment

The DXS18 MK3's durable plywood cabinet with Polyurea coating provides excellent long-term reliability in demanding professional environments. Two side handles assist with positioning and handling of this substantial cabinet, whilst dual pole sockets — a 35mm socket (80mm depth) and an M20 threaded socket (25mm threaded depth) — provide flexible satellite speaker mounting options for full-range loudspeakers such as the DXR MK3 series. Given the DXS18 MK3's size and weight of 51kg, the optional speaker wheel kit (SPW-1) is a highly practical accessory for transport between venues, alongside the optional speaker cover (SPCVR-DXS183) for protection during storage and outdoor use.

To guarantee Saturday Delivery, orders must ideally be placed before 2 pm.

We operate during office hours, Mon-Fri, 9 am - 5 pm, and are closed during the weekend. Orders placed over the weekend or Friday after cut-off will be processed and shipped the following Monday.

Delivery Notes

On delivery, you must inspect the goods carefully for damage as Audio Volt is unable to accept responsibility for damage in transit, shortage of delivery or loss of products unless the customer advises Audio Volt of such within three working days from the date of delivery.

EU Import Tax

Any goods shipped outside of the UK, over a certain value, will incur an import tax. The cost and rate will depend on the country and the order value.

This is a legal requirement and MUST be paid prior to delivery in order to receive your goods. You will be contacted by the courier once the order is dispatched to pay the fee.

Failure to pay import tax when applicable will result in the order being shipped back to Audio Volt. Any returned goods sent back to us due to non-payment of import tax are NOT ELIGIBLE for a refund on the shipping charge.

60 Day Returns Policy

We ask that you follow these guidelines to help us process your return as quickly and efficiently as possible:

1. Please keep your order reference to hand. This confirms your original order and gives us the necessary details to authorise the product’s return.

2. Contact our Customer Services Team on 02476 369890 (or e-mail info@audiovolt.co.uk). We will then send you an RMA number and a returns form, which needs to be completed and sent back with the returned item(s).

3. (If the order has been unpacked) re-package it to ensure that it is being returned in its original condition. Please make sure all items relating to the product are returned, including manuals and cables.

4. When returning an item, please obtain a ‘proof of postage’ receipt from the Courier.

Returned items must be mailed within 10 days of when the RMA Number has been issued. Items received with a post date 30 days after your requested return will NOT be eligible for refund.

Please note: Our returns policy is quite straightforward, but there are a number of conditions that we ask our customers to comply with before applying:

1. It is your responsibility to request a return. If you don’t tell us you want to make a return, we don’t know. Once you do tell us, we will do everything we can to action it.

2. If you have not requested a return within 60 days of receiving an order, we will assume that you are intending to keep it, and we will not authorise a return.

3. We always refund the payment according to how the original purchase was made and aim to do so within 72 hours of the return being received by us.

4. Returned goods are liable for a restocking fee of 15% towards handling and repackaging if the order is not returned in its original, unopened packaging. This charge will be subject to our inspection of the returned goods.

5. Delivery charges will not be refunded unless the delivered goods are faulty.

6. Replacement products are dispatched immediately after the returned goods have been received and accepted by Audio Volt.

7. Items that develop a fault within 30 days of delivery are eligible for a replacement or a refund. Delivery costs are also reimbursed for faulty items. Please contact our Customer Services Team on 02476 369890 if you believe your item has developed a fault.

Finally, please remember that notifying us of your intention to apply for a return, saving the delivery paperwork and keeping the order in its original packaging will help both you and Audio Volt to process the return quickly.
