The Electro-Voice EVID-EC8.2 is an 8-inch coaxial two-way ceiling speaker designed to deliver clear, powerful sound with a discreet aesthetic. Its larger driver makes it particularly well-suited for bars, restaurants, and hospitality venues that require high-quality background music and speech reinforcement. It is also an excellent choice for schools, offices, and retail environments where reliable ceiling-mounted audio is essential.
This model features a front baffle wattage tap adjustment, enabling simple selection of 70-V or 100-V operation, or an 8-ohm bypass for low-impedance use. With its semi-gloss white powder-coated steel grille, UL 94V-0 rated ABS baffle, and heavy-gauge steel rear enclosure, the EVID-EC8.2 combines durability with a sleek, unobtrusive design. The compact profile makes installation easy, even in restricted ceiling spaces, and the 4-pin terminal block allows straightforward connection with pass-through for additional speakers.
For safe and secure mounting, the EVID-EC8.2 includes a tile bridge and C-ring, making it ideal for use in drop ceilings with mineral wool or fibre-based tiles. As part of the wider EVID range, it integrates seamlessly with other Electro-Voice ceiling, surface-mount, and in-wall speakers, providing a flexible and scalable system solution.
