The Yamaha CXS18 MK3 is the flagship 18" 1000W Band-Pass Passive Subwoofer in the CXS MK3 series, delivering the deepest low-frequency extension, highest sensitivity and greatest output capability in the range.
The passive counterpart to the DXS18 MK3, built for the most demanding professional installation and live sound applications requiring maximum bass reinforcement.
The Yamaha CXS18 MK3 is the largest and most powerful model in Yamaha's latest generation of CXS series passive subwoofers, delivering the deepest bass extension, the highest peak SPL and the most authoritative low-frequency performance in the entire CXS MK3 range. As the passive counterpart to the acclaimed DXS18 MK3 active subwoofer, the CXS18 MK3 shares the same proprietary 18" high-durability transducer with a 4" voice coil — the largest driver and voice coil in the CXS MK3 series — and the same optimised bandpass cabinet design in an unpowered format.
Primarily intended for installation, fixed system and live sound applications where a compatible amplifier infrastructure is already in place, the CXS18 MK3 provides the ultimate passive low-frequency foundation for the most demanding DJ events, live music performances and large-scale events where maximum bass depth, output and impact are essential. When paired with the CXR MK3 series loudspeakers in particular, the CXS18 MK3 enables users to build a seamlessly integrated passive sound system with truly unparalleled impact.
Maximum Performance Bandpass Design
The CXS18 MK3's bandpass cabinet design delivers the deepest and most powerful bass performance in the CXS MK3 passive range. The 18" driver with 4" voice coil — a larger voice coil than the 3" units found in the CXS12 MK3 and CXS15 MK3 — provides greater thermal capacity, higher excursion capability and the ability to sustain very high output levels over extended periods. With a passive frequency response extending down to 35Hz (-10dB) and a calculated peak SPL of 129dB, the CXS18 MK3 delivers substantially greater output and lower frequency extension than the smaller CXS models. When used with Yamaha PX and PC-D Series amplifiers with dedicated speaker processor tuning settings or compatible DSP processors, the frequency response can be extended further still — down to 32Hz — for the most demanding bass-heavy applications. The durable acoustically optimised plywood cabinet with scratch-resistant Polyurea coating ensures long-term reliability in demanding professional environments.
Flexible Connectivity & Deployment
The CXS18 MK3 features two Speakon NL4MP connectors — one input and one output — for secure, professional-grade speaker connectivity and easy system integration with compatible amplifiers and full-range loudspeakers. The 4 Ohm nominal impedance and 1000W program power handling — the highest in the CXS MK3 series — make the CXS18 MK3 compatible with high-power professional amplifiers capable of delivering the substantial output levels required for the most demanding bass reinforcement applications.
Dual pole sockets — a 35mm socket (80mm depth) and an M20 threaded socket (25mm threaded depth) — provide flexible satellite speaker mounting options for full-range loudspeakers such as the CXR MK3 series. Two side handles assist with practical handling and positioning of this substantial cabinet. Given the CXS18 MK3's size and weight of 49kg, the optional speaker wheel kit (SPW-1) is a highly practical accessory for transport between venues, alongside the optional speaker cover (SPCVR-DXS183) for protection during storage and outdoor use.

Cut-off Times
Orders must be placed before 3:30pm to guarantee same-day dispatch. Any orders placed after this time are not guaranteed to be shipped the same day, and are more likely to be shipped the next working day.
To guarantee Saturday Delivery, orders must ideally be placed before 2pm.
We operate during office hours, Mon-Fri, 9am - 5pm, and are closed during the weekend.
Orders placed over the weekend or Friday after cut-off will be processed and shipped the following Monday (or Tuesday during bank holidays).
Mainland UK Delivery Charges
Note: Next-day services are classed as working days (Mon-Fri) and do not include weekends. Please choose Saturday delivery if you require the item over the weekend.
Please also note orders with a high number of boxes may be subject to an additional charge.

EU Import Tax
Any goods shipped outside of the UK, over a certain value, will incur an import tax. The cost and rate will depend on the country and the order value.
This is a legal requirement and MUST be paid prior to delivery in order to receive your goods. You will be contacted by the courier once the order is dispatched to pay the fee.
Failure to pay import tax when applicable will result in the order being shipped back to Audio Volt. Any returned goods sent back to us due to non-payment of import tax are NOT ELIGIBLE for a refund on the shipping charge.

Delivery Notes
On delivery, you must inspect the goods carefully for damage as Audio Volt is unable to accept responsibility for damage in transit, shortage of delivery or loss of products unless the customer advises Audio Volt of such within three working days from the date of delivery.
60 Day Returns Policy
We ask that you follow these guidelines to help us process your return as quickly and efficiently as possible:
- Please keep your order reference to hand. This confirms your original order and gives us the necessary details to authorise the product's return.
- Contact our Customer Services Team on 02476 369890 (or email info@audiovolt.co.uk). We will then send you an RMA number and a returns form, which needs to be completed and sent back with the returned item(s).
- If the order has been unpacked, re-package it to ensure that it is being returned in its original condition. Please make sure all items relating to the product are returned, including manuals and cables.
- When returning an item, please obtain a proof of postage receipt from the courier.
Returned items must be mailed within 10 days of when the RMA number has been issued. Items received with a post date 30 days after your requested return will NOT be eligible for refund.
Please note: our returns policy is quite straightforward, but there are a number of conditions that we ask our customers to comply with before applying:
- It is your responsibility to request a return. If you don't tell us you want to make a return, we don't know. Once you do tell us, we will do everything we can to action it.
- If you have not requested a return within 60 days of receiving an order, we will assume that you are intending to keep it, and we will not authorise a return.
- We always refund the payment according to how the original purchase was made and aim to do so within 72 hours of the return being received by us.
- Returned goods are liable for a restocking fee of 15% towards handling and repackaging if the order is not returned in its original, unopened packaging. This charge will be subject to our inspection of the returned goods.
- Delivery charges will not be refunded unless the delivered goods are faulty.
- Replacement products are dispatched immediately after the returned goods have been received and accepted by Audio Volt.
- Items that develop a fault within 30 days of delivery are eligible for a replacement or a refund. Delivery costs are also reimbursed for faulty items. Please contact our Customer Services Team on 02476 369890 if you believe your item has developed a fault.
Finally, please remember that notifying us of your intention to apply for a return, saving the delivery paperwork and keeping the order in its original packaging will help both you and Audio Volt to process the return quickly.
