Ecler HADA-4B400 4-Channel 4 x 400W Networkable DSP Power Amplifier
The Ecler HADA-4B400 is a 4-Channel 4 x 400W Networkable Class D DSP Power Amplifier supporting low and high impedance loads, with a 4x4 digital matrix mixer, comprehensive onboard signal processing and full TCP/IP network control.
Delivering serious output power and broad impedance compatibility for large-scale, demanding fixed installation environments.
The Ecler HADA-4B400 is a high-powered amplifier within Ecler's HADA series of professional networkable DSP amplifiers, delivering four channels of 400W Class D amplification for large and demanding fixed installation audio systems. Building on the same proven platform as the HADA-4B150 and HADA-4B250, the HADA-4B400 steps up to a significantly higher output power whilst retaining the same comprehensive digital signal processing, matrix mixing, network control and protection capabilities that make the HADA series a trusted choice for professional installers and system designers.
Whether deployed in large retail environments, educational campuses, corporate headquarters, sports facilities, hospitality venues or large public buildings, the HADA-4B400 provides the amplifier headroom, flexibility and reliability that ambitious installation projects demand — all within the same compact 2RU 19" rack chassis as the rest of the HADA series.
High Output Power with Broad Impedance Compatibility
The HADA-4B400 delivers 400W per channel into both 4 Ohm and 8 Ohm loads, with further operating points of 300W at 2.7 Ohm and 225W at 2 Ohm for even lower-impedance speaker configurations — providing the broadest impedance compatibility seen in the HADA series at this power level. In bridge mode, channel pairs deliver an impressive 800W into high-impedance 100V or 70V distributed speaker systems, or 700W at 4 Ohm bridge for low-impedance bridge applications. This exceptional flexibility makes the HADA-4B400 equally well suited to driving demanding low-impedance speaker arrays, large-scale 100V line distributed audio installations and complex mixed-impedance system designs. Output mode selection per channel or channel pair is handled via the HADA DSP Manager software, with an improved power factor correction of greater than 0.96 ensuring highly efficient use of mains power at these elevated output levels.
Advanced Onboard DSP via HADA DSP Manager
The HADA-4B400 shares the same advanced DSP engine as the rest of the HADA series, built around a dual-core 64-bit processor with 96kHz/24-bit audio conversion and 113dB dynamic range. Per-channel processing includes parametric EQ, delay, limiter and multiband compressor on both input and output paths, with a 4x4 digital matrix mixer allowing any input to be routed to any output combination for maximum system design flexibility. All configurations can be saved as presets for rapid system recall and deployment. Signal processing latency is an extremely low 500 microseconds from analogue input to analogue output. The HADA DSP Manager application — accessible via Ethernet (100Mbps, CAT5 up to 100m) and an embedded web application — provides a comprehensive and intuitive interface for all device configuration, monitoring and control from a networked computer or control system.
Multiple Control Options
The HADA-4B400 offers the same generous range of control options as the rest of the HADA series. Front panel rotary attenuators provide direct local level control for each output channel. Four rear panel GPI inputs (0–3.3V) enable remote volume control from external control devices, whilst an external MUTE input via dry contact closure allows system-wide muting from fire detection systems and other safety or control devices. Third-party control system integration is supported via TCP/IP, making the HADA-4B400 compatible with a wide range of building management and AV control platforms. A front panel RUN/SLEEP button enables standby mode for energy-efficient operation, with a notably low standby power consumption of just 9W despite the amplifier's high output capability.
Comprehensive Protection & Monitoring
The HADA-4B400 is equipped with the same full suite of protection circuits as the rest of the HADA series, providing total reliability in continuous professional operation at high output levels. DC protection, HF protection, short-circuit protection and thermal protection — with automatic output power reduction at 90°C and full mute at 100°C — safeguard both the amplifier and connected loudspeakers at all times. Per-channel front panel LED monitoring covers signal present, clip, limit, mute and protection status, with additional unit-level indicators for power on, data activity, thermal status and external mute. The temperature-controlled variable speed fan with front-to-back airflow operates at a maximum noise level of just 40dB at 1m for practical deployment in noise-sensitive installation environments.

- When returning an item, please obtain a proof of postage receipt from the courier.
Returned items must be mailed within 10 days of when the RMA number has been issued. Items received with a post date 30 days after your requested return will NOT be eligible for refund.
Please note: our returns policy is quite straightforward, but there are a number of conditions that we ask our customers to comply with before applying:
- It is your responsibility to request a return. If you don't tell us you want to make a return, we don't know. Once you do tell us, we will do everything we can to action it.
- If you have not requested a return within 60 days of receiving an order, we will assume that you are intending to keep it, and we will not authorise a return.
- We always refund the payment according to how the original purchase was made and aim to do so within 72 hours of the return being received by us.
- Returned goods are liable for a restocking fee of 15% towards handling and repackaging if the order is not returned in its original, unopened packaging. This charge will be subject to our inspection of the returned goods.
- Delivery charges will not be refunded unless the delivered goods are faulty.
- Replacement products are dispatched immediately after the returned goods have been received and accepted by Audio Volt.
- Items that develop a fault within 30 days of delivery are eligible for a replacement or a refund. Delivery costs are also reimbursed for faulty items. Please contact our Customer Services Team on 02476 369890 if you believe your item has developed a fault.
Finally, please remember that notifying us of your intention to apply for a return, saving the delivery paperwork and keeping the order in its original packaging will help both you and Audio Volt to process the return quickly.
